UNICEF Aniventure ComicCon
Representing UNICEF at an event like Aniventure ComicCon was no easy task.
Why? Because the festival audience comes to immerse themselves in the world of anime, games, and pop culture — areas where UNICEF has no direct presence.
The question was: How do we fit in without breaking the magic of the event?
The Task:
To raise awareness about UNICEF’s causes among a young audience — primarily children and teenagers attending the event.
The Idea: “Activate the Hero Within You”
We decided to engage young people by offering them a personal, motivational moment.
We created three short video messages featuring three recognizable pop culture figures loved by the ComicCon audience.
Visitors to the UNICEF booth could receive a personalized video with an inspiring message and advice from one of the three “heroes” — and then share it with friends by scanning a QR code.
Results over the two days of the festival:
● Over 88,000 views
● People reached: 90,686
● Total impressions: 160,713
● Total interactions: 12,974
